Socio-economic justice vital to overcome psychological issues: Khalid Maqbool.

LAHORE -- Former Governor Punjab and Chairman Board of Management Institute of Public Health (IPH) Lt. Gen.( R) Khalid Maqbool has said that a system based on socioeconomic equality and justice is essential to improve mental health and to overcome the psychological issues of the people. Teachers at the school level should also be imparted training to understand/redress the psychological problems of the children, he said adding parents should pay attention to their children for creating self-confidence and give equal importance and love to all to save them from inferiority complexes and mental sickness. Addressing a seminar on Mental Health, organized at IPH, here on Wednesday, Khalid Maqbool said that old and traditional methods are being used for the treatment of mental sickness and psychological problems which are harmful for the patients.
