Slow work on Bajaur road project resented.

BAJAUR -- Leaders of the All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance on Friday complained about the slow pace of work on the Timergra-Khar-Mamad Gat Road project and demanded its speedy completion. They met here with alliance president Aurangzeb in the chair.

The participants included ANP general secretary Nisar Baz Khan, Ameer Khan of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Haji Naeemullah Khan of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, Anwarul Haq of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and other alliance leaders.

They said the 71km road project was a welcome initiative but work on it had been progressing at a snail's pace since Nov 2020. The alliance leaders feared that the scheme won't be completed within the stipulated time if work continued at the same pace.

They said water wasn't sprinkled on project site on a regular basis troubling commuters and pedestrians.

The participants asked the authorities to expedite work for its completion within the stipulated time.

They also demanded the regular sprinkling of water on project site to settle dust.

The alliance leaders alleged massive corruption in government departments in the district, especially for recruitment.
