Six rescued from building on fire.

LAHORE -- The Rescue 1122 teams safely rescued six members of a family trapped in a building housing a shop where a fire broke out on Thursday.

According to initial reports, the fire erupted in an LPG decanting shop on College Road near Barkat Chowk. As soon as gas leakage started, the shop caught fire and the flames engulfed a portion of the building housing the LPG outlet, a police official said.

He said five females and a child of a family got trapped in the building because of the fire and dense smoke.

He said Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site, recovered the trapped family safely and controlled the blaze after two-hour efforts.

The police have started investigation.
