Six fall prey to different accidents.

RAHIM YAR KHAN -- Three children were killed and 12 others were seriously injured when a bus carrying Barat collided with an iron fence while crossing overhead bridge at Sadiqabad city.

According to details, on Sunday noon, a bus carrying a Barat and going from Town Bangla Icchga to Town Manthar, as the bus reached Sadiqabad bypass, it collided with an iron fence while crossing the overhead bridge. The bus driver could not guess the height of overhead bridge and the bus was overcrowded and several persons were sitting on its roof. As a result three children hit by iron fence, fell on the road, died instantly.

The bus driver immediately fled the scene but Rescue 1122 rushed the injured to the hospital. Police have registered a case against the bus driver and started searching for him while the three children who were died were burried yesterday in their native town Bangladesh Icchga.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Sahiwal, a mother and son were killed after their bike was hit by a bus in the limits of Kamir police station, here on Sunday.

A police spokesperson said that one Iqbal was going to Kamir on a motorcycle with his mother, from Adda Shabeel, when a speeding bus hit them near Sahiwal Arifwala road. As a result, both died on-the-spot. The bus driver left the bus and fled.
