Six butchers held in Lakki for violating official price list.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Six butchers were arrested for fleecing consumers during the holy month of Ramazan in Naurang town of Lakki Marwat district on Thursday.

During his visit to the bazaars, people complained to Additional Assist Commissioner Gohar Ali that butchers were no following the official price list. He ordered arrest of six butchers and said that district administration would not compromise on implementation of the official price list.

He also checked the quality of meat. He examined hygiene conditions, availability of food items and their prices in the bazaars.

The official also took notice of encroachments in bazaars and removed those through anti-encroachment squad of tehsil municipal administration.

The additional assistant commissioner paid visits to flour mills in Naurang town to check the record of flour distribution.

The official also checked the record of grinding of wheat under government quota and provision of free flour to notified dealers.

Also on Thursday, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hadi chaired a meeting at his office to review performance of line departments.
