Sister shot dead at her mehndi for land.

HAFIZABAD -- In a horrendous act, a man shot dead his sister in Hafizabad as she was attending the mehndi ceremony a day before her wedding over a property dispute, on Thursday.

The murder was committed Wednesday night when the accused, Muhammad Ali, opened fire at Sajida, 25, who died on the spot.

But it didn't stop there as he targeted the other sister, Sharifan Bibi, too as she tried to run away to save her life.

Sharifan, 29, received bullet wounds just below her head and in the back.

She is currently in critical condition and being treated at Mayo Hospital of Lahore.
