Sindh Assembly: PPP wins 7 Senate seats.

KARACHI -- Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Wednesday proved its claim to give surprise in the Senate polls in Sindh, by securing seven out of 11 seats against its numerical strength according to which it could grab maximum six seats, four general, one technocrat and one women reserved seat.

The joint opposition-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA)-could manage to get their four candidates elected, two on general and one each on one technocrat and one women seats.

Palwasha Khan of PPP and Khalida Ateeb of MQM-P won on women reserved seats while PPP Farooq H Naek and Saifullah Abro of PTI emerged victorious on seats reserved for technocrats.
