Shortage of staff, facilities in RHC protested.

MANSEHRA -- The residents of Shitial area in Kohistan district protested the shortage of doctors and paramedics and facilities at the local rural health centre following the death of an attack victim on Wednesday night.

Shungo Khan was attacked by armed men of the rival group.

He breathed his last for being not provided with medical assistance.

The residents shouted slogans against the government and demanded staff and facilities at the centre.

They warned that they would take to the streets if the demand wasn't met.

Meanwhile, the traders have installed five disinfectant gates at the entry and exit points of Kashmir Bazaar and promised to take precautionary measures against coronavirus.

District police officer Sadiq Baloch inaugurated the gates and praised traders for following the government's anti-coronavirus guidelines.

He said the government's measures were meant to protect people from Covid-19 and prevent the collapse of healthcare system.

President of the traders body Malik Shakeel Awan said traders had installed disinfectant gates on self-help basis.

He said the business community was committed to following the government's guidelines on Covid-19 prevention and control.

BUILT-UP PROPERTY: The communication and works department on Wednesday served notices on dozens of landowners asking them to demolish their built-up properties on a road, which is under construction, within a week or face legal action.
