SHO suspended for negligence during duty.

ISLAMABAD -- A station house officer (SHO) from Shams Colony Police Station was suspended for negligence while performing official duties, police said on Thursday.

DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed had been receiving complaints against the official, after which an inquiry was marked to a senior police officer, they stated, adding, after comprehensive inquiry, the SHO was found guilty of misconduct and negligence in official duties.

Mr Syed said that a policy of zero tolerance against corruption, showing laxity in official duties will be continued. An accountability system to monitor performance of police officials has started and disciplinary action is taken against those involved in dereliction of duties, negligence, poor investigation, absence and involvement in corruption.
