Sheikh Rashid to chair law and order meeting tomorrow on PDM protest outside ECP.

ISLAMABAD -- Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has summoned an important meeting tomorrow (Monday) to inspect the law and order situation as Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gears up to stage protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on January 19.

Sources familiar with the matter have informed a private TV channel on Saturday that the meeting will devise strategy to beef up the security of the Red Zone along with entry and exit points of the federal capital.

The interior minister said in his statement that the ECP is a constitutional institution, and necessary security measures will be ensured.

Islamabad commissioner, IGP and representatives of the law enforcement agencies will attend the meeting whereas Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGs will...
