Shehbaz strongly condemns surge in prices of wheat and flour across Pakistan.

LONDON -- Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif while strongly condemning the surge in prices of wheat and flour across Pakistan has demanded bringing real facts behind the wheat crisis and increase in flour prices in country in front of nation.

In a statement issued on social media on Saturday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif urged the government to reveal the truth on why Pakistan was faced with shortage of stock of wheat. He questioned whether the wheat stock was smuggled, where it has disappeared and who is responsible for this? Shehbaz Sharif questioned who is taking benefit from wheat and flour crisis.

Shehbaz Sharif said that it was the right of the people to know what happened to wheat stocks of the country. Shehbaz Sharif said that during the tenure of PML-N government record production was recorded and the full stock of wheat was available, adding that Pakistan was exporting wheat during the PML-N tenure.

The opposition leader said that the wheat and flour crisis is continued in country but Prime Minister Imran Khan and all other responsible have disappeared. He said that the masses are being looted openly in whole country and federal and provincial governments have closed their eyes.
