Shehbaz appears before NAB in money laundering case.

LAHORE -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore in the money laundering and assets beyond means case.

President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) attended the hearing the in the strict security while at the occasion the PML-N activists raised slogans of 'dekho dekho kon aia sher aia sher aia'.

According to details, a joint investigation team of the anti-corruption watchdog interrogated the PML-N leader for two hours and 10 minutes. After conducting investigations NAB team allowed Shehbaz Sharif to go home.

Earlier on Monday, PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed that Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in an investigation pertaining to alleged money laundering.

"Shehbaz Sharif will present himself before NAB despite the dangers of the coronavirus," Marriyum Aurangzeb said a statement issued on social media on Monday. "Doctors have advised Sharif not to endanger himself by venturing outside amid the virus epidemic," she said.

"Shehbaz Sharif respects the law and will accordingly present himself before the bureau authorities today," she added."We had earlier requested that the hearing be postponed in light of the virus epidemic and the life of Shehbaz Sharif should not be put in danger because of this investigation. All information related to the case has already been provided to NAB," she noted.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned Shehbaz Sharif for the third time in a money laundering case on Monday after he failed to appear the last time. NAB had directed Shehbaz Sharif to appear before the investigation team at 12:00 PM along with the required documents.
