SHC seeks reply from Center on PIDA ordinance.

KARACHI -- Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued notice to the federal government, seeking its reply on Pakistan Islands Development Authority (PIDA) Ordinance 2020.

A SHC bench, headed by Mr Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, heard a petition filed by Shahab Usto challenging the Pakistan Islands Development Authority (PIDA) Ordinance. During the hearing, the deputy attorney general of Pakistan informed the court that the ordinance had expired and it had no legal status now.

He sought time from the court for submission of a written reply in the court. Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till January, 27 and sought a reply from the federal government.
