Shaukat Tarin demands election, caretaker setup, to end political uncertainty.

ISLAMABAD -- Former finance minister Shaukat Tarin has urged the government to announce election and bring a strong caretaker setup in the country, media reported on Monday.

Commenting over the situation after yesterday's by-election result, he said it has increased political instability in the country.

Tarin urged for a strong caretaker government having understanding of the market, 'We have to move forward to end the political instability for economic betterment of the country,' he said.

A situation of uncertainty will prevail till the new elections are announced, he said. 'They are aware that they will not remain in power till August 2023,' he said.
