Shan makes winning start.

KARACHI -- Debutant Shan Namat got off to a winning start when he sent Afghanistan's cueist Mohammad Rais Senzahi packing straight in the Asian Snooker Championship which commenced at Doha on Saturday.

According to results, Shan hammered first century break of the event by compiling 114 in the second frame on way to winning the battle 74-42, 114-9, 77-37, 78-29 in group C.

His compatriot and national champion Sultan Mohammad has been placed in group L.
