Shahbaz Sharif calls for launching works under PSDP to steer country out of quagmire of crisis.

LAHORE -- PML-N president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has presented proposals before the government to steer the country out of crisis.

In a statement issued here Monday he has said interest rate should be curtailed to 6 percent to run the national economy besides initiating construction works under Public Sector Development Program ( PSDP) so that people could get jobs.

Launching projects of construction of schools, roads, clinics, godowns and lining of canals is need of hour, he held.

He lamented that less budget has been allocated for PSDP instead of enhancing it. The economic activities could be boosted by initiating new projects, he stressed.

He urged government to take bold steps for reducing taxes. It should lessen burden on the shoulders of the people. Relief be provided to people in adverse times and...
