Shafqat Mahmood announces to reopen educational institutions from 9th to 12th class from 18th January in whole country.

ISLAMABAD -- Minister for Federal Education, Professional Training, National Heritage and Culture Shafqat Mahmood has announced to reopen educational institutions from 9th to 12th class from 18th January in whole country. He said that the educational institutions from 1st to 8th class will be reopened on 1st February instead of earlier decision of reopening them on 25th January. Shafqat Mahmood said that the higher education institutions will reopen on 1st February according to the earlier announced schedule.

This he announced while addressing a press conference at National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) after chairing inter-provincial ministerial meeting for making decision to reopen the educational institutions while keeping in mind the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.

Shafqat Mahmood said that federal health minister, provincial education ministers and chief secretaries of the provinces attended the meeting.
