Shafay files papers for PP-34 against uncle Parvez Elahi.

GUJRAT -- Up to 50 more nomination papers were filed for seven Punjab Assembly seats in Gujrat district on Thursday after the Election Commission of Pakistan extended the date of filing papers for two days until March 16.

Up to 173 nomination papers were filed from March 12 till Thursday.

Former chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, his spouse Qaisra Elahi and son MNA Moonis Elahi filed their second nomination papers for PP-34, Kunjah, on Thursday after their papers were earlier filed on Tuesday.

All three members of the Elahi family have also filed their nomination papers for PP-32, Jalalpur Jattan, a couple of days ago.

Mr Elahi will contest for PP-34 whereas Moonis will contest for PP-32.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain also filed his two more nomination papers for PP-34 as he too had earlier submitted his papers for the same seat.
