Senior lawyer shot dead in Nowshera.
PESHAWAR -- Unidentified assailants gunned down a senior lawyer on Cherat Road in Nowshera district on Saturday evening.
The deceased, Sajid Waseem Khattak, was a senior member of Pabbi tehsil bar.
The deceased was returning home when the attackers riding a motorcycle ambushed his vehicle.
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBC) condemned the incident and announced to observe strike today (Monday) in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Khyber, Mohmand, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram and Orakzai districts.
In a press release, KPBC vice-chairman Mohammad Ali Jadoon and its executive council chairman Mohammad Ilyas Khan demanded of the provincial police chief to arrest the killers at the earliest.
