Senior journalist Badar Islam passes away.

LAHORE -- Senior journalist Badar Islam Butt breathed his last here on Wednesday. He was 91.

He is survived by two sons and as many daughters. He was buried in the graveyard of Karim Block, Allama Iqbal Town.

Though a law graduate, he somehow developed a flair for writing and began writing for Dastango, an Urdu journal in the late 1950s. He also wrote for Kohistan and Lail-o-Nihar before formally joining the Urdu daily, Imroz, as a sub-editor in the early 1960s.
