Senate body seeks details of road contractors.

ISLAMABAD -- A parliamentary committee on Tuesday directed the ministry of communication to provide details of construction companies which participated in bidding for roads contracts.

The Senate Standing Committee on Communication also took stock of contracts of toll plazas and directed transparency in awarding these contracts.

The committee directed NHA to ensure that all the toll plazas are registered.

The committee unanimously pointed out that briefing and working papers submitted by the ministry were misleading creating confusion to evaluate the facts of the projects with mala fide intentions to delay the projects.
