Senate body meeting - Action on poor performance of commercial attaches in Dubai directed.

ISLAMABAD -- The Ministry of Industries and Productions on Tuesday took notice of sale of Pakistani food products with Indian monogram in Dubai markets.

According to details, Indian traders and businessmen are dominating in Dubai markets with Indian monogram on Pakistani food product like rice, salt and fruit. The successful fraud has raised finger on the performance of Pakistani commercial attaches in Dubai.

Geographical Induction Law Pakistan is hanged in balance and following the situation Pakistani trade facing losses in markets abroad.

Senate Standing Committee for commerce and Textile on Tuesday expressed concerns over performance of commercial attaches in Dubai.The committee meeting was held under the chair of Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi at Parliament House.

The committee, during the meeting, directed the Ministry of Industries and Production to take notice of the illegal development in the foreign market. Committee Chairman Afridi said they have asked again and again that the commercial attaches should be part of the meetings and these attaches should be online via video conference during the meetings.

The meeting was convinced that a request will be made to Senate Chairman for ensuring presence of commercial attaches in the meeting via video link.
