Senate body invites movers to discuss their prespective on PMB.

Islamabad -- Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice on Thursday considered the Private Member Bills referred by the House and invited the Honorable Movers to discuss their respective Bills.

The 44th meeting was held on Thursday at the Parliament House, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Riaz Fatyana.

After detailed deliberations, MNA Junaid Akbar withdrew the Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2020 (Article 51) moved by him as the Committee considered the same to be impractical owing to demographic and electoral complications in Pakistan.

The Committee also considered the Legal Practitioners and Bar Council (Amendment) Bill, 2020 moved by Nafeesa Shah and deferred the same till feedback on the subject matter from the relevant Bar Councils could be obtained.
