Seminar on Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.

To Commemorate the UN International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, (IPDS) United Nation Information Centre (UNIC) and the Department of International Relation, Peace and Conflict Studies and Pakistan Studies of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) organized a Seminar on "Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace".

Ms. Farhat Asif, President Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, said that "this day marks the significance of multilateralism and diplomacy for peace to save not only lives but also protect human rights across the globe and promote peace by establishing rule based order"

Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of Modern Languages in his welcome address said "Peace holds the central value to religions, polities, societies and humanity above all in the world", He noted.

Mr. Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi, Director General (UN), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan, while presenting the practical aspects of diplomacy and multilateralism for peace said that Pakistan supports multilateralism and stands by the practices of diplomacy for peace..
