Seizing Opportunity.

Now that the UK has successfully left the European Union (EU), a short-term vacuum has been created in various British markets. As such, the potential of trade for countries like Pakistan has increased exponentially. In fact, according to Mike Nithavrianakis, the Deputy High Commissioner of UK in Karachi, the country is looking forward to increasing bilateral trade worth APS10 billion with Pakistan. The only hurdle that stands in the way of this opportunity for Pakistan is quality control to match the standard of the international market.

Already, Pakistan's trade with the UK has surpassed APS3 billion-much more than what has been recorded in recent years. Now, the potential to maximise revenue is right in front of us. Especially at a time when the nature of supply chains has become invariably complicated owing to Brexit, swiftly constructing exporting inroads is sure to allow Pakistan to expand its industrial base. Given that the UK is looking forward to cooperation in the fields of healthcare, education, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing and even green energy, the possibilities could be endless.
