Science Festival held in the remotest area of Thar.

ISLAMKOT -- To impart science education to the young generation of rural areas, a science festival at the remotest area of district Tharparkar was held on Thursday where hundreds of participants witnessed science models exhibited by local school students. The science festival was organized by Thar Foundation in New Senhri Dars, Jeewan Das Campus, some 70 kilometers south from district headquarter of Mithi. Pakistan Space Science Education Center provided technical assistance to the Thar Foundation which assisted students of different schools to develop their science models and exhibit them at the festival. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Syed Mehdi Shah, Managing Director Site Sindh, Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Shahzad Thahim and Sabeen Shah, Manager Education of Thar Foundation. The students of Thar Foundation Schools, The Citizen Foundation and Government Schools of the area demonstrated stalls of Wind and Solar Energy, Ecosystem Protection, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Rainwater storage system at the household level, 3D Brain Model, Solarized Street lights and other models.
