SC orders for releasing accused in murder case for want of evidence and poor investigation.

ISLAMABAD -- Supreme Court (SC) has issued orders for releasing Hassan Shah accused in a murder case for want of evidence and poor investigation.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik took up the case for hearing Friday.

Zulfiqar Ahmad Bhutta counsel for the accused argued during the hearing of the case that 8 accused were nominated in this case and trial court released five accused for want of evidence. One accused Siddique entered into compromise with the family members of victims. Trial court had awarded death sentence to the accused Hassan Shah. Lahore High Court released an accused Ghulam Qasim Shah by giving him benefit of doubt.
