SC dismisses petition from residents of Goth Gharib Abad as applicants withdraw.

Islamabad -- Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petition of residents of Goth Gharib Abad due to its withdrawal by them besides directing them to resort to Civil Court.

A three member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) took up the case for hearing Tuesday.

Lawyer Salah ud Din said chief minister allotted the land for Goth Gharib Abad in 2007.

The counsel said 8000 people live in Goth Gharib Abad. Bajnor Housing Society obtained the order from civil court in connection with vacation of Goth land. The counsel said Bajnore society has not made us respondent.

CJP remarked 50 acre land was allotted by chief minister. Land is allotted this way before election. The legal status of allotment of land is challenged after election.
