SC approves review petition for preliminary hearing in army chief's tenure extension case.
ISLAMABAD -- Supreme Court (SC) on Friday approved government's review petition over the case pertaining to extension of the service of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to details, the plea has been allotted number for initial hearing. However, it will be heard as per the directives of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed.
It is to be mentioned here that the review petition has pleaded with the court to constitute a larger bench, and to nullify the given judgment in the case. It has further requested the court to conduct in-camera hearings of the matter.
