Sanitation crisis.

CONTRARY to our religious teachings, cleanliness is not our forte, particularly the cleanliness related to our surroundings. Dysentery, cholera and other gastrointestinal diseases are increasing with each passing day because of the crumbling sewerage system. The drains are not cleaned properly, they are left uncovered, and heaps of trash lie on streets and roads.

Proper sewerage and waste disposal is directly related to human health, but the matter has largely remained unattended across the country.
