Safdar's bail petition dismissed.

LAHORE -- A judicial magistrate on Saturday dismissed post-arrest bail of retired Capt Muhammad Safdar, son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in a case of hate speech.

Islampura police had registered the case and arrested Mr Safdar the night Mr Sharif was shifted to the Services Hospital from the NAB custody. Later, a magistrate had sent him to jail on judicial remand.

Advocate Farhad Ali Shah argued on behalf of Mr Safdar saying the police acted with mala fide intention.
