Saeed Ghani says Imran Khan like cipher incident again attempting to tarnish image of Pakistan after Wazirabad attack.

KARACHI -- Sindh Labour and Human Resources Minister, Saeed Ghani, has said that the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, by leveling baseless allegations against the Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and a senior officer of the Pakistan Army has been attempting to tarnish the image of Pakistan as what he earlier did in the case of the diplomatic cipher.

Speaking at a press conference here at the Sindh Assembly building on Tuesday, the Sindh Labour Minister said that Imran Khan without any proof should not have blamed the high-ups in the country for the attack in Wazirabad.

He said that Imran Khan owing to his anti-state politics had been gaining popularity in India and getting favourable coverage by the Indian media like never before. Imran Khan's politics against the interests of Pakistan showed well the reason his party had received funding from India, he added.

Ghani reiterated his demand that the Chairman of PTI should be taken to task as per the law as he had violated the constitution.

He expressed his surprise that Imran Khan after receiving four bullets in the attack had been taken to a cancer hospital that was 125 kilometres away from Wazirabad instead of being rushed to the nearby hospital or basic health unit for first-aid.

He told the journalists that this appeared to be the first case in the country that a person with bullet injuries on his legs had been taken to a cancer hospital for treatment.

He endorsed the demand of Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah, that a proper probe should be conducted to confirm the instance that the PTI Chairman had received bullet injuries. Ghani demanded that a medical board should be constituted for the purpose.
