Sacking of EPI technicians protested.

SWAT -- A large number of medical technicians here on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against the termination of services of the Expanded Programme for Immunisation (EPI) technicians by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The demonstration was organised by the Swat Paramedical Association. Holding placards inscribed with slogans against the government, the protesters condemned the KP government for terminating job contracts of thousands of EPI staff.

'It is a great injustice to end the contract of about 1,000 EPI technicians in the province, who were earning livelihood for their families,' they said.
