Rs67 million uplift projects approved for Shangla.

SHANGLA -- The district development advisory committee (DDAC), Shangla, here on Wednesday approved 37 small development projects worth Rs67 million in the district under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Community-Driven Local Development (CDLD) programme.

The meeting in this regard was held at the office of deputy commissioner Imran Hussain Ranjha and attended by additional deputy commissioner finance and planning Asadullah Khan, tehsil municipal officer Nadeem Ullah, subdivisional officer C and W Engineer Ziaullah, district health officer Dr Ibrahim, and CDLD officials Amshaid Khan and Shakeel Ahmad besides officials of the relevant departments.

The committee approved projects for water supply and street pavements besides construction of protection walls, roads, rooms in government schools and RCC bridge.

The committee granted approval to 20 projects in Alpuri tehsil, 15 in Puran tehsil and two in Chakisar tehsil.

On this occasion, the deputy commissioner said that work on these projects would be started soon. He directed the heads of line departments to provide all possible support to CDLD staff for implementation of the projects.
