Rs42m earmarked for small dam in Karak.

KARAK -- MNA Shahid Khan Khattak has claimed that Rs42.21 million has been earmarked for construction of a small dam in Zeri area of Mithakhel union council.

Speaking at a function here the other day, he said tenders for the project would be published in a few days.

Mr Khattak said the irrigation department would construct the dam, thus meeting the longstanding demand of the local people.

He said the project would also benefit the residents of Isak Chountra union council, resolving the drinking water issue as water table would improve with its completion.

The lawmaker resolved to focus on collective welfare of people, saying the district would be put on the path of development.

He said other mega projects were in the pipeline, adding the most deserving areas would be given priority in the development process.
