Roving Petrol Police Service Acquires 75 New Vehicles


The Roving Petrol police service came into effect a few years ago to ensure the security of citizens and improve the reach of police officers in outlying khoroos and districts. Since then, sixty vehicles of the service have been outdated and their guaranteed lifetime has already expired. Thus, a total of 105 new vehicles are set to be supplied to Ulaanbaatar City Police Department (UCPD) and Traffic Police Department with financing from the Ulaanbaatar City budget.

The first phase of the supply, which is 75 brand new and fully equipped Kia vehicles manufactured in April this year, were handed to 12 police divisions throughout six central districts in Ulaanbaatar on June 24. On July 1, the remaining 30 vehicles will be supplied to the emergency divisions of districts.

Each of the vehicles, including its spare tires, costs 18.5 million MNT.
