Robbers take away Rs0.3m, shoot man over resistance.

KARACHI -- A man was shot at and wounded by armed robbers when he put up resistance to their attempt to snatch Rs300,000 from him in a Malir area on Tuesday, police said.

They said 65-year-old Mohammed Mushtaq was wounded by robbers near Shamsi Society, Malir.

Al-Falah SHO Badar Shakeel said that armed pillion riders snatched around Rs300,000 cash from the victim near Wireless Gate. As he put up resistance, the robbers opened fire on him and fled along with snatched cash. He suffered bullet injuries and was transported to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
