Robbers take away cash, mobile phones from Dera shop.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN -- Five armed men took away over Rs300,000 cash and 15 mobile phones from a cellular company's franchise in the Dera Ismail Khan city on Saturday, the police said.

The daylight robbery took place on the Circular Road opposite the Shaheed Haq Nawaz Park in the jurisdiction of the cantonment police station.

About five masked men came in a car, held the staff at gunpoint and decamped with cash and mobile phones.

According to the franchise employees, two of the masked men were in police uniform, while three wore white clothes.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Akhtar Hayat Khan, while taking strict notice of the robbery, ordered district police officer Abdur Rauf Qaiserani to suspend SHO cantonment police station Aftab Alam.

Separately, two people were killed and 10 others injured when rival groups traded fire, the police said on Saturday.

The Saddar police registered a case against the accused.

The police said that the reason behind the incident was an old enmity.
