Robbers kill two, hurt another over resistance.

KARACHI -- Two men were shot dead and another wounded by armed robbers over resistance in the city on Sunday, police said.

They said that Mohammed Yaseen, 48, was killed while Ramzan Ali, 50, injured when they put up resistance to a robbery bid on Mauripur Road near Peoples Ground.

The dead and injured were shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

Kalri SHO Rao Shabbir said the suspects did not take away anything. Police were also probing other possible motive for the murder.

The officer said that both of them were drivers by profession and on way home on a motorbike after performing their duty at Baldia Town when the armed pillion riders shot them.

In another incident, a 50-year-old man was gunned down by armed robbers in Shah Latif Town late on Saturday night.

Police said Bahadur Khan was killed when he resisted armed muggers near a wedding hall in Sector-22-B. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
