Robbers hurt youth over resistance on city's outskirts.

KARACHI -- A 24-year-old man was shot at and wounded by armed robbers over resistance on Superhighway on Saturday, police said.

The SITE-Superhighway Industrial Area police said that Talib Sajjan was intercepted by the muggers in Janjal Goth and when he put up resistance they shot him and rode away.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Four held over stealing oil from pipeline

Police on Saturday arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in stealing oil from a government pipeline in Malir.

The Steel Town police identified the held suspects as Muhammad Rafiq, Khalid Hussain, Syed Adil Shah and Sajid Ali.

They said that in order to divert the oil the suspects set up an illegal connection on an inland fuel supply line.
