QUETTA -- Road safety education has played a key role in protecting Roads from accidents. Traffic Police Quetta FM-88.6 radio station will be a great importance to keep the passengers travelling on roads informed about the latest situation regarding weather, traffic, alternative routes as well as traffic rules. In this regard, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority (PEMRA) issued a license to the Quetta Traffic police. The purpose of the FM Radio will be to educate public about the traffic rules, traffic jam on roads, and about how to acquire driving license. It will be the first FM Radio of its kind in Quetta, Balochistan. DSP/PRO Mehmood Ali Khokhar briefed the Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Muhammad Saleem Baig and highlighted the importance of radio in terms of accident prevention, weather advisory, traffic situation on carriageways and awareness with traffic rules. The Chairman (PEMRA) appreciated and acknowledged the ongoing steps taken by Balochistan Police in saving precious human lives. The Chairman (PEMRA) also apprised that we all have a role to play to prevent from traffic accidents. A Non-commercial Radio Licenses have been awarded to Quetta Traffic Police for establishment of radio station.
