Road rage.

A MOTORCYCLIST who was not wearing a helmet rammed into my car from behind near Zamzama commercial area when I stopped at the intersection because of the traffic constable's signal.

Since the motorcyclist had rammed into my vehicle at a high speed and fallen on the road, everyone was concerned about him. The traffic constables requested me to rush him to a hospital to which I agreed. However, when I approached the motorcyclist to help him, who had regained his composure, he punched and slapped me repeatedly, and also used extremely filthy language.

The citizens and police officials there restrained him, but I started bleeding owing to his assault, and I decided to press charges.

A police mobile was summoned in which I and the assault perpetrator were taken to Darakshan police station. There I was told that I needed to obtain a medico-legal officer (MLO) certificate from Jinnah Hospital if I wanted to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident. By this time my family arrived at the police station. After much cajoling, my FIR was lodged and I left for medical attention.
