Rivals kill three of family in Mansehra.

MANSEHRA -- Gunmen killed three people, including a woman, and injured seven in Lassan Nawab area here on Wednesday night.

The police said it was an act of honour killing and was reported in Changi Dehrai village.

SHO of Lassan Nawab police station Tasveer Shah told reporters on Thursday that an armed group attacked a rival family's vehicle over a two-year-old elopement issue.

He said the attack left 10 people seriously injured, who were shifted to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where the doctors pronounced Khan Afsar, Nisar Ahmad and Gulnaz Bibi dead and referred others to the Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, due to critical injury.

The SHO said Khan Afsar's daughter married one of the accused, Mohammad Faisal, of her own free will two years ago causing tensions between the two families.

He said members of both families had heated exchanges earlier in the day but the police settled the dispute.

The SHO added that Mohammad Faisal and six others opened fire on the rivals' car.

He said the police were carrying out raids to arrest the accused after the registration of FIR.
