Rising inflation in Taluka Jhando Mari leaves masses at the mercy of profiteers.

USMAN SHAH HARI -- The month of Ramadan has seen a rise in inflation in several towns, villages and cities of Taluka Jhando Mari, including Usman Shah Hari, Pyaroland, Old Mirabad, Bahadur Moor, Mel Moor, Somarkot, and Qaiser Sinhro. The poor working class people in these areas are struggling to afford even two meals a day. The price of vegetables, fruits and basic food items have significantly increased in the local markets. Tomatoes are being sold for Rs. 200 per kilo, while potatoes are being sold for Rs. 60 per kilo. Sweet peppers are being sold at Rs. 200 per kilo and onions are being sold at Rs. 100 per kilo. Fruit is also being sold at higher rates with bananas at Rs. 200 per kilo and oranges at Rs. 200 per kilo.
