Rickshaw drivers accused of fleecing commuters.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Taking benefit of the ban on public transport the drivers of three-wheelers have been fleecing commuters, including the government employees, in the Lakki city and other towns of the district, residents complained on Friday.

The government employees travel to the District Headquarters Complex, Tajazai, located at a distance of 14 kilometres from the Lakki city on working days, using the three-wheelers, paying exorbitant fares.

'The rickshaw drivers charge Rs50 per passenger from Lakki city to Tajazai complex which is much higher than the routine,' said a government employee. He said coach drivers normally charged Rs30 per passenger for the same distance even before the oil prices were cut and...
