Pakistan's transportation has a wide and diverse system. In recent years, the new Pakistan National Highway has been completed, improving domestic trade and logistics. The Pakistan railway network owned by the Pakistan Railways Company has also expanded in recent years. The airport and the seaport are also gradually being built with the supplement of domestic and foreign funds.

The Pakistani highway began highway construction in the early 1990s, building a world-class road network and reducing the usage of national highway loads throughout the country. Its total length is 263,775 kilometers. The National Expressway is a toll road network owned, maintained and operated by the Pakistani Highway Administration under the Ministry of Communications. In the city, buses play an important role in the inter-city transportation of a large number of tourists.

Pakistan's railway service is provided by the state-owned Pakistan Railways Company that under the supervision of the Ministry of Railways. Railways transportation is an important mode of transportation for Pakistan. It meets people's requirements for large-scale transportation. The domestic railway network in Pakistan is 8,163 kilometers long with 293 km of electrified track. The Lahore Metro is the first subway system in Pakistan after completion.

The Pakistani automobile industry started late, starting in the 1950s, and automobile production was mainly based on assembly.

Pakistani cars are mainly imported from Japan, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belarus, Turkey, and other countries. In early 2007, the Pakistani government adopted a long-term development plan for the automobile industry to encourage and promote foreign auto companies to invest in Pakistan, increasing import tariffs, restricting the import of used cars, promoting and protecting the development of the local auto industry. Before the 2006-07 fiscal year, Pakistan implemented a localization plan in the automotive sector. According to the plan, if the automobile assembly project is submitted for project approval, it must submit a localization report to the relevant government agency (EDB).
