Removal of business stalls from playground ordered.

HARIPUR -- The consumer court here on Wednesday directed the district administration to remove the sasta bazaar stalls from the playground of the Regional Professional Development Centre (RPDC) within a week's time.

Judge Muneera Abbasi issued the order after holding hearings into the matter.

The district administration and tehsil municipal administration had put up kiosks for a sasta bazaar on the playground of the centre, which was previously called the Teachers Training School, in Oct 2020.

The kiosks were later made shops made of iron pipes and corrugated sheets with the RPDC's approval, according to Aziz Ahmad Khan, counsel for the centre.
