RCB issues notices to 25 illegal buildings.

RAWALPINDI -- The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Friday issued notices to owners of 25 unauthorised buildings in different areas and asked them to submit their building plans within 15 days otherwise the buildings will be demolished.

RCB spokesman Qaisar Mehmood told Dawn that the RCB building department officials visited Railway Road, Marble Factories area near Westridge, Usmania Colony, Misrial Road, Quaid-i-Azam Colony and Peshawar Road and found 25 buildings constructed without building plans approval.

He said the notices had been issued to the owners to submit the building plans approved by the civic body. He said the teams also removed banners and posters installed on the lampposts and walls in the areas as it was not allowed in residential and commercial areas of the cantonment.
