Razakar impersonating policeman arrested.

BAHAWALNAGAR -- McLeod Ganj police on Friday night arrested a volunteer (Razakar) and registered a case against him on the charge of impersonating a police official.

The police, however, [allegedly] concealed the fact in the first information report that the arrested man was a Razakar of McLeod Ganj police station and did not book him under the bribery charge despite a viral video clip of him taking money from citizens while standing in the courtyard of the police station.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of McLeod Ganj Station House Officer (SHO) SI Fazal Abbas Shah, sources informed the police that a man identified as Muhammad Aqeel of Mandi Sadiq Ganj was often seen standing outside the building of the police station and pretended to be a police official. It said on Friday, on a tip-off, a police patrol, led by the SHO, raided and found Aqeel standing at the gate of the police station.
