Razaar college named after slain PTI activist.

SWABI -- The higher education department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the directives of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, has renamed Government Degree College, Razaar, after late Engr Shahzeb Khan, who was killed inside a polling station in Karnal Sher Khan village during the 2018 general elections.

Soon after assuming power, Prime Minister Imran Khan had contacted Engr Shahzeb's father and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family while saying that those involved in the killing would face the law.

The college's renaming was announced in a notification.

Engr Shahzeb, who had BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, was killed when ANP former district president Ameer Rehman opened fire after being provoked by slogans raised by PTI workers inside a polling station in Banzara (Karnal Sher Khan village). Mr Rehman was contesting elections against Shahram Khan Tarakai, now provincial minister for local government, from PK-47, Swabi-V.
